Our lab is offering the use of a five-channel Olympus FV 1000 upright confocal microscope to the laboratories of sole-appointment faculty in the Cell and Developmental Biology Department (no exceptions). This scope can visualize up to five detector channels at the same time and runs on the Olympus Fluoview software suite, which allows for acquisition and post-processing features such as: z-stack imaging, XYZT time lapse, and simple 3-D rendering.
The scope is available for use on an appointment basis for blocks of up to three hours between 9 am and 2 pm, Monday through Friday. A consultation and training session is required to qualify for scope time, and a fee of ten dollars is charged per hour of use.
For more information or to set up an appointment for training, please contact Maya Culbertson of the Nechiporuk lab at ext. 41294 or via the Nechiporuk Lab Confocal Contact email at ohsufluoview@gmail.com
